Language Assessment

The coordinator is able to assist you with determining the language ability of your consumers in order to make appropriate recommendations for special accomodations when making referrals. Many persons that are deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind have delayed language acquision and it may affect their ability to understand and participating in treatment.

Treatment programs

The coordinator is able to provide you with list of choices of treatment program that is appropriate for your consumers. The coordinator needs to know, location, communications preferences, language ability and types of treatment program needed in order to make appropriate recommendations that best fit the consumer’s needs. The coordinator is also available to the treatment program as a source of resource.

Counseling

The coordinator is able to assist you in determining and locating appropriate counseling services for yourself or your consumers. Many factors comes in play when determining which counseling service is appropriate. The coordinator will need to know location, communication preferences, language ability, and type of counseling sought in order to make an appropriate recommendations.

Support Groups

If you are seeking support group for yourself or your consumers, The coordinator is able to assist you in determining, and locating the appropriate support group, including AA/NA/CA meetings. The coordinator can also provide Assistive Listening Devices and help secure interpreting service.
